What are Digital Capabilities?
Digital capabilities are the skills and attitudes that individuals, businesses and organisations need to live, learn and work in an ever increasing digitalised society.
It is useful to consider digital capabilities on 2 levels:

- Individual level: digital capabilities that equip someone to live, learn and work in a digital society
- Business/organisational level: includes the role of technology to support core business functions and it’s teams capacity to be digitally capable while considering the extent to which culture and infrastructure enables and motivates digital practices.
Individual level:
Technology is increasingly involved in all aspects of our person and working lives. Due to it’s rapidly evolving nature it is important to continually reflect upon our digital capabilities, how to be utilise these in different situations and identify what others we would benefit from developing further.
Organisational level:
Technology is essential in performing and supporting many of a businesses core functions. It is also crucially to enable the ongoing development of a teams digital capabilities. Efficiency, accountability, accessibility, data management and cost effectiveness are just some of the benefits of improving the digital capabilities of businesses and organisations.
