Jade Kooiker

Founder and Director

Jade is a general practice lawyer with a commercial approach to preventing and resolving legal problems and risks. As Compliance & Corporate Governance Consultant with over 15 years’ experience in the legal field, Jade offers focused compliance advice, which is supplemented by her broad experience across commercial law, securitisation and banking and finance; as well as organisational, project management and client relationship management skills.

Her insight into the governance landscape, compliance requirements, risk management and contract administration equip her with the competencies for more critical tasks such as

  • legal and regulatory compliance strategy
  • risk management
  • due diligence
  • business strategy

In addition to her legal experience, Jade is passionate about organisational governance and currently serves on two Not for Profit boards. Outside of her Corporate Governance work, Jade is a dynamic professional. Her expertise extends to entrepreneurial undertakings, as Founder of a European legal advice bureau and as an investor and advisor in several local projects.

Jade holds a Bachelors’ degree in Law and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She has been admitted to both the Victorian Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia and is a member of several professional organisations.

As our senior compliance & corporate governance consultant, Jade specialises in supporting our clients by offering a wide range of services to empower them to develop their internal capacity and meet their compliance obligations. She is also responsible for overseeing the development of all our compliance and governance consultation, educational resources and tools.

Misty Neilson

Founder and Director

Misty brings over 25 years of experience in accounting and business. This also includes the founding of a successful community services company that is now one of the largest private providers in South-East Queensland and is an Accounting for Nature accredited expert.

As qualified Ecologist & Conservation Biologist, Misty has also collaborated with regional NRM, Landcare and tertiary organisations to implement on-ground sustainable agriculture, environmental, conservation and research projects. She has written or lead various agricultural strategies, regional resource audits/gap analysis, citizen science projects and community action plans.

This experience, coupled with a history of working closely with local and state governments, small businesses, not-for-profits and social enterprises on community development, needs analysis’s, economic recovery, infrastructure projects and assisting with their funding and strategy needs, gives Misty a practical working understanding of social, economic and environmental sustainability.  

Misty is also a qualified and experienced Accounting for Nature Accredited Expert (Asset), an Approved Adviser under the Carbon Farming Advice Rebate Program (CFAR), holds certificates in sustainable corporate financing, is the Chair of the board of directors for Forever Wild (Global) and is a member of application assessment panel for the Australian Biodiversity Data Mobilisation Program, overseen by the Atlas of Living Australia.
